8 Best Thing About 2011

Yea I know that 2011 was way so over and to review the year now it kinda late since it's already February but hey... better than never rite :P

I guess the first half of the year was not much different from the previous year. Not enjoying every bit of my life or what so ever. Never mind bout that as this entry is about the good and best thing of 2011.
So what's good about 2011 for me? Let's see...

1. East Coast Work/Trip
So my job requires me to travel to the east coast for about a week. Kelantan and Terengganu is the few states that I never thought I will go for a trip if it's not for my work. Anyway at first I am having a hard time thinking that I will be spending a week there. It suddenly felt like I'm gonna be disconnected from the world. LOL

But things turn out not that bad instead I have fun. Having to stayin hotel with Wi-Fi, breakfast served every morning and the best is I don't have to drive :D And talking bout that , we were so afraid/excited to actually bump into elephants on the way there... yea it's a wild jungle there on the highways...

The beaches there are so different from the one in Penang. It's super clean, wide and look at the sea...it's DEEP. Yea jz look at the colors...

2. A New Start, A New Job
Leaving the old company is like getting a new life for me, a new breathe that really put the pumps back into my hearts. Everything seems to be so good about this new company and I can see myself grow here and so much more to learn.

Been involved with several events and meet lots of people from the industries that I never thought I would one day met them. To highlight a few was meeting and  working along with Eric Leong which is one of the celebrity Interior Designer. Another is to be involved in the 1st 3D Anamorphic in Penang.

3. Photo Outing
As much interest I have for photography, I have never been for any photo shooting outing. But in July 2011, with the help of Wendy who is the model we went to The Peranakan Mansion. Originally wanted to go for Blue Mansion but since they are charging too high for it, we went to Peranakan instead. It's my first time there too and I had lots of fun and end up filling up my 4GB CF card.

It's been a great experience for me and kinda satisfied with the outcome.

Met this guy who is a famous food critics from HK. He was there on that day and allows us to take a photo with him.How do I spell his name? erm... Tou Tou?

4. Back to the Gym

I have to say I am putting a lot of weight since I stop gym-ing about 2 years ago.The people in the new office all looks so good that I knew I should somehow need to be as good as them in order to boost up my confident in me. So I am now officially back to gym for... (let's see...count count).. 7 months now and are doing good to lose some weight.

Those shorts that are to tight now fits well :D... When I look good... I feel good too....

5. Singapore Re-Visits

Visited Singapore in 2010 and fall in love with the city. It's super clean, safe with fun & excitement everywhere. Went there with mum, sis and Bie so for 2011... since I didn't planned for travel, me & Bie went for Singapore again since we believe there's more to explore..

It's a great vacation and am so lucky that Lion King: The Theater are still showing. It was costly but hey it's once in a life time chance for this k... :P Ahh I miss my time there...

My first Musical Theater Show
My Fav animal
What's better than watching half-naked guy surfing the waves and enjoying lunch

6. A Visit From Down Under

November, Lana visits Penang. Joined dad and aunt Alice to bring them around Penang. First time meeting up with Lana's husband Shawn. He is a big guy and looks like the biker bully but when I get to know him more... he is just a big child inside... Can't wait for my visit to Melbourne in October 2012.

7. Wedding : Venus
A week before Christmas, Venus a friend of mine got married. This couple is very special because they have been dating for like 14 years!!!! Wooot..... First Love and now getting married...

A very special wedding ceremony as the Bridegroom and Bride dance their way into the ballroom. Felt touching with the photo of them growing since 13 years old til current and the video of Venus crying when her husband proposes to her. It makes everyone the wanted to get marry lor..including me LOL

8. Secret Santa
Merry Christmas!!!! Yea 2011 Xmas is kinda fun cuz instead of exchanging present with family members... I got to be the secret santa in the office. With a budget of RM20, we got to buy gifts for the person you're assigned to from the name draw. I got the easy ones.... Junk Foodssss....

Love my present alot... I got an Angry Bird plastic glass, a Doodolls pillows and a key chain.

That's it... the best thing in 2011... of course there's more but this are the few that is special enuf for me. Lots of first times and once in a life time memories... 2012 is gonna be a blast as I already have like 7 best thing on the list and it's only Feb!!...

Wish all of you have a great year ahead!

Lou Sang with colleagues @ Ocean Green Restaurant

Another great week went by... On Friday after work went to another lou sang session with colleagues and Jason. As promised, after my confirmation since my 6 month probation in this new office I will treat them for dinner and since I got the 2nd best lucky draw during the CNY dinner I will throw in extra money into the dinner :D

It's my first time here but I kinda enjoy the environment and the food tasted good as well... So thefirst dish up is the Lou Sang Plate.

I just love the color of it and my fav are not the salmon slice but the crunchy crackers :D

We ordered the Spring Chicken as recommended by other bloggers. But this is not as nice I expected.
RM6 / piece

Salad Shrimps which is also one of my fav dishes in chinese cooking

Spinach Soup with Scallop

Spring Roll

Another signature dish from them. The Cheese Crab, now this is kinda good.
RM10 / shell

Lastly something to sum it all up, the Stir Fried Teow Chew Noodle.

The whole dinner cost us about RM260++ but it's a worth since we are all having a great time and I am surely looking forward for another celebration of this kind.

.............................................

The next day was the day the event we've been looking forward to since October 2011. Finally after months & months of teasing and preparing, the whole event went smoothly and can't be any better. A big congrats to the nominees and the winners.Another good job well done by our team.

Later that day, me & Bie went for movie 'I Love HK 2012'. It was a tiring day but somehow I still manage to get myself together for the night. After the movie we went for a sinful supper.... Lok Lok @ Pulau Tikus market...

It's been awhile since I 've been there. I still remember me, sis & dad used to go there for late supper too when we're still young. Neways, it brings back lots of memories and it's really fun to have this kinda Lok Lok once in a while....

Yea this kinda Lok Lok where you'll be seated at a table full of skewed food and they keep on refilling it until you can't eat no more. Woooot.... but I have to say it's not cheap though... every skewed food has a different pricing and we had mostly green once which is RM1.20 / stick... :P

...........................................

So what's up on Sunday?..... A lazy Sunday lor.... woke up around 10.45am and buying lunch back for sis and her friend who stay over occasionally. Spend most of the day watching DVD's until late evening. Had dinner with mum @ Xuan Xin Queensbay Mall. I guess enuf food for this post... so I'll save it for future entry...

Night!!!

Cute Cute & Cute

So today I got to be in the judging room for some Awards. Ah... what can I say... all the guy nominees look so cute (or should I say cuter) ..than they already are on the usual day.

But then when it's time to answer the questions from the panel judges.. some did pretty well and some looks so nervous that I can actually feel them shaking (CUTE).... If only I actually took part in the judging process... I'll make sure all the winners are guy.

But it turns out that the 2 top awards will be soon presented to 2 females nominees... @.@

-TEEHEE-

Chinese New Year Heritage Site Festival Pt2.

Continuing from the previous post on this. Moving around the 'people sea people mountain' (Lots of crowd). It gets more and more crowded in the late afternoon as people starts to throng in.

As there were still sun light I am busy snapping photo while enjoying every moment of it.

Then we came to this area for Hotel displaying their best in Dragon Design while selling food to the crowds... I remember I'm starving by then as we walk pass here...

Then we move in to Khoo Kongsi where the second main area for the whole festival... There were stage play, stalls selling food and games.

This were the stage play that we enjoy watching...

 Gheeeee Nice expression

 "You?"

 Lovey Dovey

 Very Vein Geh 'Choi San'

At around 7pm or so the Official Opening Ceremony starts

After the opening ceremony, we then went on to wait for the Lion Dance nearby. Waited for like 45 mins before it starts...@.@

The day starts to get darker and I can't really shoot any photo since I still did not have a flash light.

Found this toy dragon at the craft shop nearby and Bie seems to like it a lot... So I decided to buy one :D

After that we had late dinner at Edelweiss... It's already around 10pm++ but since we decided to wait until the firework show at 11.55pm we drop by to have dinner..
 Pumpkin Soup

Pork Rib - recommend by the owner of Edelweiss
Tasted great!!

It was a great outing and by the time I reach home it's already after mid-night. And I have to work the next morning but worth it... Will go again next year...

Gym Gym.... Sing?

Was gyming yesterday after work and like usual, I'll start off with some cardio before going in for Body Combat. The gym is kinda packed and I guess everyone's trying to kick off those extra fat due to CNY... same like me >.<

So I ended up doing cardio beside a guy with his headphones on... after a couple of minutes... or prob 15 mins the guy starts to sing-a-long with the song playing tru his headphones...

So I'm like... Seriously? Really? Singing while doing your cardio? And if you think you're ok with that then what about singing out loud as if no one is there to listen to your singing? @.@

Am not sure how or what is he thinking but his singing wasn't that great cuz since you can't really sing while cardio-ing rite? So after singing for like 5 minutes or so he finally stops all of a sudden and just walk away.

................ Wha~~~~~ t.....

Neways, need to control on my diet as I think I ate too much and I don't wanna waste all my time at the gym last few months ago... So Ganbateh!!!!! :D
